Part Time Clerk – Floater
Central Mississippi Regional Library System has a Part Time (20 hours) position available for a Clerk-Floater. This position performs duties under the supervision of the Coordinator of Branch Services, Branch Managers, or Departmental Supervisors, following oral and written instructions. All work is subject to review for accuracy, correctness, and completeness. Assignments may be for a specific branch library or for any branch library in the Central Mississippi Regional Library System.
Assist the professional and paraprofessional staff where assigned in providing library customers with assistance in all areas of library services.
Qualifications: Must be 21 years of age. Minimum High School diploma and previous library experience. Experience with word processing and spreadsheet software. Available to work evenings and Saturdays. Good communication skills. Must be able to lift 30 lbs.

R. T. Prince Memorial Library - Branch Manager
Central Mississippi Regional Library System has an opening for a Branch Manager to fill a part time position (9 hours) at the R. T. Prince Memorial Library in Mize, MS. Library Branch Managers are responsible for all aspects of branch library operations including, but not limited to, physical plant, materials, programming, community contacts, accounting, and monthly reports. The Branch Manager is responsible for interviewing, hiring, supervising, training, and evaluating branch staff.
A High School diploma is required and previous library work experience is preferred. Excellent management, organizational, and interpersonal skills are a must. The Branch Manager must be able to deal effectively with the public, city officials, and other employees. The candidate must be computer literate and be able to lift from 30 – 40 pounds.

Pearl Public Library - Part Time Reference Specialist
Central MS Regional Library System has an opening for a Reference Specialist to fill a part time position (25 hours) at the Pearl Public Library in Pearl, MS.
The Reference Specialist is responsible for providing general and specialized reference assistance in both traditional and automated environments to library customers. Assist with collection development, bibliographic instruction and reader advisory.

2. 2. At least two (2) years of experience in a library or related field.
3. 3. Ability to deal effectively with the public and other employees.
4. 4. Knowledge of, and experience with, electronic resources, CD-ROM applications and the internet.

Mendenhall Public Library – Part Time Children’s Specialist
This Part Time (30 hour) position assists in all aspects of services to children and youth in the Mendenhall Public Library. All job responsibilities are performed under the supervision of the Branch Manager and the Coordinator of Children’s Services.
1. Associate’s Degree in Education or Early Childhood Development is required. Knowledge of children’s literature, current library practices, and technology is required.
2. A minimum of two to three years of work experience with children is required.
3. Good organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to deal effectively with the public and other employees.
4. Knowledge of and experience with computers.
